Bike components: Wood chipper handle bars. Stem riser on handle bars to keep upright while riding. Dyno-hub on front tire used to power headlight and has one USB port to charge cell phone while riding.
Tires: Hank started with Schwalbe Marathon Mondial tires. As of Dec 4, 2018, he has had one flat.
Gear we are carrying: REI Quarter Dome 3 3-person tent, MSR stove, MS Surface 4 laptop, Showers Pass rain jackets and gloves, Big Agnes sleeping bag (Kathy) and REI down sleeping bag (Hank).
Standard food supplies: Three dehydrated meals each, jar of peanut butter, multi-grain flat bread, trail mix, energy bars, oatmeal (plus nuts, golden raisins, brown sugar), bananas and apples, fig newtons.
