On Holiday

Hank – We dropped our bikes off to get some TLC. Their initial exam indicated we’ve been doing well on the maintenance.

Remember Barb and Keith, our friends in Maine. Barb’s brother Paul lives in Fort Lauderdale and he offered his garage to store our stuff while we’re home for the holidays. We took him up on his offer and had a great visit with him.

Don’t expect any more posts here until we return to Fort Lauderdale on Jan 3. Until then, have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Kathy – We made it back to Spokane! It was a long day of chores and travel. We sorted our pannier bags out with what was staying in Florida, and what we were taking home. We then rode our bikes seven miles to the bike shop. It’s nice to get the tune-ups done while we are taking Christmas break. We took an Uber back to the hotel, cleaned up and checked out. Then we took another Uber to Paul’s house to store our bags there. Paul is a great guy. He reminds me so much of Barb in his mannerisms. I just loved meeting him and spending a few hours visiting with him. Thank you Paul for keeping our pannier bags!

We hopped in another Uber from Paul’s house to the airport. All in all our two flights home, thank goodness, were both on time and uneventful. We arrived home at 1:00 am so we were awake for almost 24 hours. Steph even put up a few pretty decorations which was a sweet surprise to come home to.

We are looking forward to seeing all of our family and friends and enjoying lots of laughter and fun times over the next few weeks. So thankful to have all the kids home for Christmas too. We fly back to Fort Lauderdale on January 3rd and will start heading towards Key West on the bikes soon after that.

Just want to say how grateful we are for all of our support during our travels. Support from all our amazing family and friends at home, and all of our new found family/friends along the way. Your encouraging words, concern for us, willingness to help us in any way, and overall genuine kindness has been so wonderful. We are so appreciative. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Wishing you much joy and peace this holiday season. Sending love to you all. ❤️❤️❤️
